Kindling

Just an ordinary Wednesday...except that the day marks the anniversary of my arrival on the planet. I tried to make the day as low key as possible, but my co-workers had a different idea. There were bouquets of flowers and lots of decadent cake. Very nice.

Really, the only reason I decided to write about my birthday was to tell you about what Boris gave me. He ordered it weeks ago and was disappointed that it was backordered and wasn't going to show up for another week or so. But, turns out it showed up today. Perfect timing!

His gift was a Kindle by amazon.com. And, it's the answer to this book-loving future fulltimer's prayer. It's an amazing gadget. It holds up to 200 books, and much more with a memory card installed. I absolutely love it. I've already downloaded a few samples of some titles I've been wanting to read.

And, what makes it perfect for fulltiming? This little wonder weighs just 10.3 ounces.

200+ books weighing in at less than a pound? Perfect!

Thanks, Boris!!!

Happy Birthday Natasha!!

Let me know how you like the Kindle. I read like a madman and really need a good electronic device to handle the load. The other eBook devices leave much to be desired.

Have a great trip to Palm Springs. You probably won't want to return!!

Safe travels...
