Q: What happens in the middle of the night in a campground filled with freakishly large show hounds?
A: They bark. Then, they howl.
We're so glad we'll be out of here in the morning.

They aren't the only ones in the campground.....shouldn't be allowed. Sorry you all had that problem.

Variety of neighbors can be interesting! I know the yappy sound of my neighbors dog all to well. We also hear a hound in the distance frequently in the summer, but he is so far away he is just a bit funny.
Now when the Owl decides to land in the trees outside our bedroom window, we do take action and yell at him. Owl in the distant woods is soothing.
If you could hear the dogs during the night, then their owners could hear them. As a dog owner I would never allow my dog to disrupt people's sleep - they could have brought the dogs inside their coaches to keep them quiet. I understand that some dogs are "outside dogs", but leaving them out in a campground to annoy and waken other folks is unconscionable.
I hope you complain to the CG management as well as write a scathing CG review. Where were the managers/camp hosts while this was occurring?
OMG... I can't even imagine this whole ordeal... Hope you fine peace & quiet soon... Have fun & travel safe

Paul and Mary..I would be a good boy..not all dogs are bad..Tucker!
B&N,
Such is life at a county fairgrounds camp. At least it's not a motorcycle convention or camel races!
Safe travels,
