The Point
On this do-nothing day between the rally and going in for factory service, we awoke just after 7:00 and enjoyed two cups of coffee as we planned our day, then we heard the roar of diesel engines so we stepped outside and said goodbye to a couple of neighbors, then we went back inside our rolling home to kick back and relax for the morning, so I clicked through a few blogs and quickly discovered that apparently I haven’t been blogging correctly, so I spent the next hour seeing how quickly and easily I could load our two ipods full of music onto our blog so that our visitors would really be blogged, I mean bogged down and then I would be breaking all of the rules of proper blogging, then I took word verification off our comments in order to be a better blogger and an hour later I had to spend 20 minutes deleting seven comments posted to the blog...in Korean...so I put word verification back on then I tried to make the font size on the blog big, bold and beautiful, but then it gave me a migraine because it was so freakin’ big so I took two Advil and laid down for a few minutes in our cool, dark bedroom and I’d tell you more about that but I’m sure it would bore you because I’m no longer sharing the most interesting thing about life in a RV, so then, instead of giving you the minute-by-minute blow-by-blow of my day I was inspired to write this one-sentence, one-paragraph post, which once again apparently breaks all the rules, so at the risk of having no one ever again visit our blog I’m going to post it anyway because THE POINT is this is OUR blog and WE can do WHATEVER we want. The End.

:) too funny
Absolutely hilarious! I wanted to say something about that too. Thanks for posting, guess they're free to put whatever they want on their blogs, doesn't mean WE have to do it.
You are funny.
I'm sad because I don't know how to load music to my Blog, nor have I learned to make a slide show.
I think I might start my Blog with my first call of the day ... do you think it would stop people reading if they knew my first steps are always quick ones to the bathroom. *smile*
It's always fun to read what others think and that's probably why I've developed an addiction to blogland.
Dare I tell you how much I enjoy reading your Blog.
I know what you mean! I love reading the blogs.
Stay Safe
BRAVO! Just like the full-timing life, there are no rules to blogging! You should just do it your own way, for yourself, for your own reasons!
In the two months that I've had word verification off I've had only two spam comments. Both were for "male enhancement" and both were on a blog with the word "husband" in the title.
There must be something in your blog that attracted the Korean spiders.
I think one line blogs would be an interesting challenge.
Just as the picture of the day can bring out the best of a photographers daily efforts.
Less is more. but then I talk to much too!
Well, okay then......lol!
Apparently we are all suffering some guilt on not doing the blog right. I am not much for self examination and will not likely change the theme of mine, but I think all this discussion has made me want to get the technical part better.
The question is will there be enough time to do the things that will make a good blog story, then write the story and make sure all the do's and do not's are covered. I guess the last item will be the first to go.
Best of luck on the service.
I'm an English teacher - and as I was reading today's post, at first I cringed - and then as I read more and more, I laughed out loud as I realized what you were doing. I'd read two different "rules of blogging posts" yesterday, including Al's - so I thought yours was hilarious. I used to belong to a blog that gave advice about food blogging (Food Blog S'Kool) and everyone was so wrapped up in "doing it right." Well, blogging is journaling - and I tell my students there are no rules. Run-ons, comma splices, abbreviations, jargon - whatever you want to do is "right." It's not writing an essay for a grade. Keep it up. Do your own thing and I'll do mine : )
I love your blog.. today you made me laugh. Thank you.
Ummmmm, did I miss something?
YOU GO GIRL!!! Loving the laughs with my coffee!
